Just in time for its 100-year anniversary, BMW Group Classic got a new home at Moosacher Strasse 66 in Munich. The site spans 33,000 m2 and is located not far from the BMW Group headquarters, which means it is also close to BMW Welt, the BMW Museum and the BMW Group Plant. The very first BMW plant in Munich was also part of this historical complex – perfectly illustrating the way in which the brand’s past has become part of its future.
BMW Group Classic is the BMW Group branch responsible for all activities concerning the history of the company and its four brands: BMW, BMW Motorrad, MINI and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. It comprises the BMW Museum, BMW Group Classic Services and the BMW Group Archive. The BMW Museum conveys the fascination of the BMW brand through a series of intriguing exhibitions. BMW Group Classic Services acts as the central hub for owners of classic BMW vehicles in terms of parts sales, services, repairs, restoration, vehicle sales and purchasing, and vehicle certificates. Finally, the BMW Group Archive specialises in answering questions on the history of the company, its brands and products. BMW Group Classic’s brief also includes participating in classic vehicle events, as well as preserving and managing a collection of some 1,000 exhibits.
