At World of Basketball, he combines emotional moments with top-class entertainment and an authentic court atmosphere.

Drawing on his experience in TV and live events, he brings the right energy to the court and knows how to put the audience right at the heart of the action. The Teams.
Team FC Bayern Basketball.
Led by head coach Danilo Barthel, the team will not be content with simply reaching the final this year. With a squad drawn from a wide range of areas within the club, FC Bayern Basketball brings plenty of talent and team spirit to World of Basketball. We are already looking forward to seeing this highly motivated 3x3 team on the court. Let's see whether they can go all the way this year.
Team FIBA Masters Open.
As the first-ever men's over-40 world champions, the team made basketball history at the FIBA Masters Open 2026. For the mixed 3x3 tournament at World of Basketball, the champions are bringing in reinforcements: Together with the women's over-40 European champions, they want to show that great plays know no age limit.
Whether the world champions and European champions will also win the tournament at World of Basketball remains to be seen. Without a doubt, however, the team is among the top favourites.
Team papitutmirleid.
papitutmirleid brings the spirit of a diverse urban community to the court. What began in Munich's club scene now brings together music, fashion and Latin American joy of living with urban culture to create a movement with an energy all its own.
At World of Basketball, this spirit meets fast-paced play and strong moves – with plenty of style, of course. We are delighted to welcome the team to World of Basketball for the first time and look forward to seeing how far their sporting journey takes them.
Team OBVS.
Since the very first edition of World of Basketball, Team OBVS has been one of the event's defining teams. Backed by a dedicated community and a great passion for basketball, the team brings plenty of energy both on and off the court. Its close ties to the basketball scene make Team OBVS an integral part of World of Basketball. After many strong performances, the aim this year is to pull off the ultimate coup: winning the tournament.
Team Hydraid.
Underdog? Bring it on. Here, basketball meets smart sports hydration and a team that knows exactly what it is capable of. As FC Bayern Basketball's official hydration partner, the Munich brand knows the court: every point counts. Every drop does too. At World of Basketball, Team Hydraid wants to do more than just take part – it aims to make a few favourites sweat. Don't worry: the team is bringing the right electrolyte sticks along too.
Team Supasporty.
Women’s basketball belongs in the culture, and supasporty brings it to the court. At World of Basketball, strong team spirit, sisterhood and representation take centre stage. The team is made up of talents from across Germany and will bring competition to the court.
Team BASKETBALL AID.
Team BASKETBALL AID stands for the connection between basketball and social commitment. Through its support for children with cancer, the initiative has been demonstrating for nearly 20 years the positive impact the basketball community can have beyond the court. At World of Basketball, the team brings a strong message and plenty of passion for the game. BASKETBALL AID is supported by Heiko Schaffartzik, who celebrated victory in the tournament last year. With this experience on the team, BASKETBALL AID is likely to be among the teams that should certainly not be underestimated on the court this year either.
