Karneval der Tiere

BMW Welt and the Munich Philharmonic present

The children's classic "Carnival of the Animals" by composer Camille Saint-Saëns will be performed on April the 6th in an arranged version for woodwind quintet, percussion, and drama in the Double Cone of BMW Welt.

The French composer Camille Saint-Saëns depicts in his musical suite various animals including lions, elephants, fish, and birds, among others.

The Carnival of the Animals

Composer and arranger Andreas Tarkmann has expanded the composition to include additional animals. Each piece is characteristic of the respective animal and comes to life through the music. Saint-Saëns combines classical music with humor and imagination in a virtuosic way, making it a popular work for both children and adults.

BMW DESIGN SCULPTURE BMW 3.0 CSL.

BMW DESIGN SCULPTURE BMW 3.0 CSL.

Always attached to the historical roots and iconic design of the BMW brand, BMW designers are looking forward to the future with new ways of thinking positively.

“In a volatile world, we want to approach the future with a positive mindset. BMW has always tried to resolve alleged contradictions: elegance and sportiness, efficiency and dynamism, or sustainability and luxury. The special creativity of the designers makes this an emotional experience for our customers,” says Domagoj Dukec, Head of BMW Design.

Rooted in the history of the BMW brand, he questions the present and addresses the social issues of tomorrow.

The BMW Design sculpture reflects this, takes up the iconic exterior design of the BMW 3.0 CSL from 1973 and transforms it into a modern sculpture.
