Today, the BMW Museum is as much an architectural symbol of the Bavarian Motor Works as the city of Munich itself. Since May of 1973, the BMW Museum has been presenting the more than hundred-year-long corporate, brand and product history of the BMW Group to visitors from all over the world in ways that are as fascinating as they are informative. Around 125 of the brand’s most precious and attractive automobiles, motorcycles and engines can be found across the 5,000 m² exhibition space. In addition to permanent exhibitions with around 120 original exhibits, the rotunda and the “Museum Bowl” also host temporary exhibitions centred around various themes. Year after year, the BMW Museum registers a new record number of visitors and is proud to be one of Germany’s most-visited museums. More than five million visitors have been recorded since 2008. Whether it’s for a permanent or temporary exhibition, a visit to the BMW Museum is always worth it.

The ticket counter is located directly opposite the entrance. Reserved tickets for guided tours can also be picked up at the BMW Welt Central Counter.  Click here for precise directions with google maps.

BMW Group Classic: BMW Group Classic does not have its own ticket counter. For this reason, you have to collect and pay for your BMW Classic tickets beforehand in the BMW Welt or in the BMW Museum. We recommend that you do this at least 30 to 45 minutes before the start of the guided tour.

Please note that the locations BMW Welt (Am Olympiapark 1) and BMW Group Classic (Moosacher Str. 66) are 1.3 kilometres away from each other on foot (approx. 15 minutes) or one underground station (U3 Oberwiesenfeld). As parking facilities at BMW Group Classic are very limited, we recommend parking at BMW Welt or in the P+R Car Park Olympiazentrum. BMW Group Classic can be reached on foot (1.3 km) or by public transport.

At the BMW Group Plant Munich: you will receive your tickets for reserved tours either at the BMW Musem or BMW Welt ticket counters.

The illustrations show optional equipment.

The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.

The values are already based on the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to ensure the comparison between the vehicles. [With respect to these vehicles, for vehicle related taxes or other duties based (at least inter alia) on CO2-emissions the CO2 values may differ to the values stated here.]

The CO2 efficiency specifications are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the European Regulation in its current version applicable. The values shown are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle for the classification.

For further information about the official fuel consumption and the specific CO2 emission of new passenger cars can be taken out of the „handbook of fuel consumption, the CO2 emission and power consumption of new passenger cars“, which is available at all selling points and at
