In the BMW Group Plant you will get an exciting look behind the scenes of automobile manufacturing. The tour of the BMW Group parent plant takes you through all production areas from the press works to assembly. The main plant is located in the North of Munich in close vicinity to Group Headquarters, the BMW Museum and BMW Welt. Approximately 7,700 employees from over 50 countries work at this site, 850 being trainees.
As a part of the BMW Group’s worldwide production network, the BMW Group Munich Plant builds more than 950 cars and more than 3,000 engines a day.

As representative of all of the BMW Group’s international production facilities, the BMW Group Munich Plant, right next to the BMW Welt, offers guests a direct insight into state-of-the-art automobile manufacture. The tour through BMW’s original plant offers an exciting insight into all areas of automobile production. The experts guiding the tour naturally focus on the guests’ specific requests and questions. In its concept and route, the BMW Group plant tour follows specific content-related criteria, giving guests access to all automobile production technologies at BMW Group Plant Munich: the Press Shop, Body Shop, Paint Shop, Engine Shop, the Production of Interior Equipment and Seats, as well as Assembly.
IMPORTANT: Please reserve the tickets you require well in advance since guided tours of the plant are very popular and will virtually always be fully booked if you attempt to reserve at short notice.
For school classes starting with grade 5.
Individual visitor eligible for concessionary rate*: 5,00 EUR
Group visits (groups of up to 30): 150,00 EUR
Group visits concessionary rate*: 100,00 EUR
(during summer: 9 am - 6.15 pm)
There are no guided tours on the weekends and public holidays.
No guided tours on the following dates:

Currently, visiting the engine construction area is not possible due to reconstruction work.
