THE ROCK'N' ROLL PHOENIX: ELVIS 507.
It was owned by Elvis Presley and at home on the racetracks – the BMW 507 was lost for many years and now it makes a comeback. Like a phoenix from the ashes it rises to the rotunda of the BMW Museum. From mid-May onwards, you can find out everything there is to know about the extraordinary story of Elvis’s BMW 507, the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Phoenix’.
This BMW 507 used to regularly set the fastest lap on racing circuits, with motorsport greats such as Hans Stuck at the wheel. And the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll himself, Elvis Presley, was among its most famous admirers and owners. The legendary sports car was rediscovered a few years ago in a pumpkin shed owned by collector Jack Castor in California.
After undergoing elaborate restoration work, Elvis’s BMW 507 now looks as good as new and is ready to make yet another star appearance. You can look forward to a special exhibition that recreates the extraordinary milestones of this BMW 507.
When a classic car of this significance makes an appearance at the BMW Museum, the occasion warrants major celebration.
