BMW Junior Museum.
The BMW Museum is a place for all visitors to make discoveries and find out new knowledge. The exhibition themes and exhibits are dedicated to communicating knowledge and to dialogue about a wide range of community and educational issues. The BMW Museum is not simply a technological, historical or design museum. The open plan of the museum means that it offers the opportunity for the exhibits to integrate many different aspects of life and culture.
The BMW Museum is more than a learning centre. The educational packages transform the museum into a venue for gaining interdisciplinary educational experience outside school. The main educational objective at the BMW Museum is to encourage visitors to engage proactively when looking at the displayed exhibits.
The BMW Museum has joined forces with senior educational experts to develop two dedicated educational concepts for the museum. This facilitates personal and interactive communication of the exhibitions, their content and themes.
The exhibition programmes are tailored to different age groups and reflect the diverse knowledge bases of young children and teenagers. They are also geared to their learning and communicative goals. In the initial stages, the programmes are only available in German.
As well as tours for different age groups, the BMW Museum offers each child the opportunity to express their creativity in the creative workshop set up specifically for this purpose. The programmes distinguish between the age groups 7-13 years and 14-18 years. This offer is targeted on schools and private individuals alike.
Significant demand has encouraged the BMW Museum to offer children the opportunity to mark their birthday here at the museum. Children celebrating their birthday can use the creative workshop and have their own party with their friends after the museum's educational programme has finished. If they want, parents can also order refreshments for the party.
