The extensive measures of BMW EfficientDynamics include all activities for the reduction of fuel consumption while increasing dynamic performance. The measures involved are complex and range from new combustion technologies in petrol and diesel engines to intelligent lightweight construction, the reduction of mechanical friction, the ongoing improvement of aerodynamics and an integrated, optimised system of energy management.

In order to further increase our efficiency in the medium term we have opted for Active Hybrid – the BMW hybrid technology. In the long term, we will further extend our leading role in the area of hydrogen power with BMW CleanEnergy.
